That Hill

I walked up “that hill” today and also over the highway. I’ve walked up this hill a few times now and it is still always difficult. My time is improving, but my lungs still complain all the way up.  I took pictures on the way this time.

This is the view from the first corner, so I started way at the bottom of this bit. The road you can see on the left half way up used to be the road I turned around at.

This is from the same corner, up the hill in the direction I still need to go. You can’t see the top from here.

The top. I would have given myself a high five but I was too exhausted.

This is what I walked up. Yay me!

Today I went further round the corner for the first time.  Usually I turn at the road sign and head down the same way. But today I decided to take a different route home and was rewarded with this view.

I had to walk over the highway. My heart rate screamed up and my hands were shaking badly while trying to take the photo, as my wonderful falling phobia comes into play.

The bridge over the highway. Doesn’t look like much from closer to the ground!

All in all it was a great walk and I should repeat it often. And as I type this, I know it won’t be often enough!  It’s not a walk I enjoy, but it’s a huge achievement when I complete it.
