When nobody feels like walking, we must walk anyway, but we can walk a shorter distance just to keep up the habit! So we decided today to walk along Liesbeek River from Alma Road to the Sports Science Institute. This walk is listed in Mike Lundy’s Easy Walks In The Cape Peninsula.

This was more of an amble than a walk for exercise. But it is a pretty walk starting at Alma Road on Liesbeek Parkway and ending up 3km later at Josephine Mill. We parked one car at the Sports Science Institute, managing to talk our way past security, and then drove to the start at Alma Road.
We had to take the selfie – this has become tradition in our walks.

There are benches along the route for you to sit and enjoy the view and listen to the birds.

We were strolling – no strenuous activity today!

And all too soon we reached Josephine Mill.

We obviously weren’t going to win any speed awards on this one. But it was great, as always, to get together and catch up on the week, while getting out of the house to do something not done before.
