It’s a slight incline

The problem with being the one to choose walks is that sometimes (often actually) I have never walked the route, and I have to rely on others to tell me what the route is like. Despite the name De Hel, when the description says “ideal for a light stroll” and “on fairly level ground”, who am I to argue.

However, when I quote the source apparently I am passing the buck and it is still my fault. My shoulders are broad! If someone in the group is going to call a slight incline a steep hill, then I’m okay with that.

It always amazes me to see such a beautiful greenbelt in a built up area. I am loving finding and walking these little gems, mostly thanks to Mike Lundy’s Easy Walks in the Cape Peninsula, and Google Maps!

The walk had a few ups and downs. I’m not going to call them inclines or hills! We met a lot of dogs and their families on the walk, so it is obviously popular in the area.

My husband’s favourite below – a silver tree just visible.

We walked the main route there and back. There is another path that goes off the main route, with steps down to the river. We left that for another day as we were scared of breaking M before she is truly fixed!
