Today our walking group did something a little different – we went on a train. We also walked, but only about 800m but we still moved our feet to get to an end goal! Our husbands drove us to Ceres, we all had lunch, and then the three of us (the walkers!) took the Ceres Rail Steam Train back to Cape Town.
Our lunch spot was Capish! – a very pleasant restaurant I must say, and well worth another visit when back in the area.
The girls then walked to the train station at the Golf Club, while the boys continued with lunch and coffee. Our train was Dominique.
The scenery during the train ride was great. We visited the dining car for some coffee and snacks, and then just stared out the window (or snoozed) all the way home. Definitely the way to travel.
There was a motorbiker who followed the train the whole way taking photos.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and something out of the ordinary for us. Every now and then, you need to step away from normal and do something different.
