After deciding to give Peers Cave a miss for the moment (we thought it would be better in summer), we started at Clovelly Country Club and headed for Simonstown today. We felt a bit like postmen… through rain and sleet….. but we made it.
When you walk the Cape Camino route (which I encourage you to do) you get to see things you might not have known were there. Little green belts, or spiritual places, or just shops and businesses you have whizzed past in the car and not noticed.

From the Country Club we walked through the greenbelt to Main Road.

And back to walking along the beach path.

Back on Main Road, wereached Simonstown after going through some sleet and rain. Every time I got hot and took my raincoat off, it started again. There were many pleas for me to just leave the raincoat on, so that the rain stopped!

We passed the Lower North Battery, and went up to the viewpoint (briefly in icy wind) – no photos as the rain started again so we picked up speed to get to our destination at Wharf Road.

We learnt today that we are not marshmallows. We do not melt in the rain!
