So it’s my job to choose the walk we do each week. Today the brief was “flat” due to a few niggly backs. I looked for somewhere that was close by, as we all had other things to do as well.  And I found Elsieskraal Canal in Pinelands, near to F’s house. Who knew so many walks exist practically in your back yard.

It was indeed flat! And it was interesting to see the “teeth” at the canal edge, presumably something to do flooding.

It was a rather peaceful walk along one side of the canal, and back along the other side. Apparently not one to walk when you are alone, but rather in a group.

6km walk done! And not a bad time.
